Letter from Pastor HR Huntsman

Dear RLFC Family,
One thing about God is absolutely clear; He is in the people business. As you have heard me say many times, “everything God does is in the context of relationship.” The entire biblical record is God choosing a partnership with people to accomplish the miraculous. His strategy is no different today than it has been for all of human history. God partners with people to bring about transformation among those He loves. 2000 years ago God created the institution called the Local Church…His kids. The mission of the local church is to tell His story and show His love to the community and the world. Thirteen years ago Real Life Family Center accepted that mission and we have been doing our best to honor Him in all we do. Along the way RLFC has grown greatly and taken increasingly large steps of faith as God Himself has enlarged us.

This brings us to this historic moment in our church: Our 24:7 Stewardship Campaign. 24:7 is the theme we have chosen in taking our next step of faith. This means learning to honor God with our whole heart 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. This step involves trusting God for our new building. God has done His part and given us this building and now it is time to do our part and be responsible for its ownership.

Through the 24:7 Campaign, we are challenged to do something faith stretching: to give sacrificially over and above our current giving during the next 36 months. These finances will enable us to continue to pay our mortgage on our new facility. Each of us is asked to pray, to seek God’s will and to give, as we feel led. I truly believe that as a church, we are ready for this kind of challenge. It is a step of faith that we must make together as a growing family that has a passion for God and compassion for the world.

Please examine this brochure carefully. With joyful gratitude and an expectant faith, I ask you to consider your part in our 24:7 Campaign. Ask God for wisdom and faith. Your decision is a personal one between you and God.

What God does through this will benefit you and future generations. As others have given so there would be room for you, I pray that you will give so there will be room for others. I know that God will be honored and glorified through us in the days and years to come.
